BVLA, the world’s leading manufacturer of fine body jewelry, approached Funkhaus in 2023 for a cohesive identity that balanced premium craftsmanship with everyday accessibility. Despite multiple past rebrands, their digital and print presence lacked consistency. Our goal was to unify their brand system across website, social media, newsletters, and trade show collateral, ensuring their identity reflected the elevated quality of their product.
I led the development of a flexible design system, creating a centralized Figma component library, a suite of 15+ modular social templates, and assets for BVLA’s presence at the Las Vegas APP trade show. The work was guided by clear constraints: the BVLA monogram’s placement, readability within Instagram’s grid, and preserving the clarity of intricate gemstone imagery. To solve for these, I refined logo positioning, introduced bold text blocks for hierarchy, and cropped imagery strategically for maximum impact.
The result was a polished, scalable brand system that carried seamlessly from social feeds to trade show floors. Highlights included branded poker chips, gemstone banners, a step-and-repeat backdrop, and a one-hour video reel spotlighting BVLA’s people and products. Today, their brand presence is consistent, elevated, and unmistakably theirs, supported by an ongoing retainer relationship that continues to expand their reach, including a forthcoming wholesale jewelry portal.
